Six months ago, Ali Raza suffered from severe abdominal pain and fever. At first, the doctors prescribed some medication. However, pain and high fever persisted. Therefore, the surgeon performed an exploratory laparotomy. Exploratory laparotomy is surgery to open up the abdomen. This surgery is a last resort to find the cause of problems that testing cannot diagnose. He was found to have an intestinal (enteric) perforation. A loop ileostomy was made immediately to avoid further complications. Now, after six months, Ali Raza needs an ileostomy reversal surgery to restore his bowel movements to normal.  

“Sometimes, I sit alone and wonder when my son’s suffering will end. In the short period of six months, he has undergone two major surgeries. Now, he awaits another one.
