Amber Bibi's Story

“First, my wife complained about abdominal pain, and I gave her a carminative. I thought it was mild gas. But, by the evening, she was vomiting her guts out. Now the doctor has advised surgery. But, I do not have any money for it. Please donate for Amber Bibi’s cholecystectomy” -Amber Bibi’s husband. 

29 years old Amber Bibi’s suffering started with severe abdominal pain in her right hypochondriac region. At first, the pain was mild, but gradually, it increased to no probable end. Due to continual pain and vomiting, her husband took her to the hospital. After a thorough examination and ultrasound, the doctor diagnosed it with cholelithiasis, also known as gallstones. 

Gradually, Amber Bibi’s condition worsened. Therefore, to treat her ailment, the doctor has advised her to undergo a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. It is a surgery in which the surgeon removes the gallbladder. The procedure includes the insertion of a laparoscope camera and instruments. The surgery is a permanent solution to Amber Bibi’s ailment. Unfortunately, it is not an accessible option for her.  She does not have the means to arrange it.

Amber Bibi’s husband is the sole earner of the family. Five family members rely on him for their finances. He delivers grocery items to nearby shops and hardly earns PKR 400 per day. It makes it to the average of PKR 10000 per month. This meagre income is barely enough to put food on the table, let alone arrange his wife’s surgery. 

After a lot of distress of seeking free treatment, Amber Bibi and her husband have finally registered their case with us. We hope to get her healthy and upon her feet as soon as possible. However, we need your help with that. Please donate for Amber Bibi’s Cholecystectomy as much as you can.
