Amiran Bibi's Story
Currently, Amiran Bibi is unable to stand up or walk without the help of crutches. Her condition has disrupted the entire course of her life. Therefore, we urge you to donate for Amiran’s artificial leg and help her get back up on her feet.
Four months ago, Amiran Bibi developed a Diabetic Foot in her left leg. A diabetic foot is an infectious condition that occurs due to abnormally high sugar levels in the blood and foot infection. At first, the doctor prescribed some medication, to which she willfully obliged. However, over time her condition worsened, resulting in the spread of infection in her left leg, and her leg had to be amputated at the below-knee level.
After the wound healed, the doctor advised Amiran Bibi to get a prosthetic leg. Amiran Bibi circled here and there in search of a prosthetic leg. But due to the COVID 19 pandemic, all of the public healthcare’s focus is on the affected patients. Therefore, patients like Amiran Bibi suffered, and she could not get a prosthetic implant from anywhere. Amiran Bibi told us:
“Corona has ruined the entire course of our lives. My husband lost his job because of it. Now, I cannot even get the treatment because every public hospital I have been to has asked me to come back after this is over. I am at my wit’s end. I don’t know what to do. Transparent Hands is my only hope.”
Because Amiran Bibi’s husband was the sole earner of their family, currently, they are in no position to arrange for a prosthetic leg on their own. Therefore, they have requested Transparent Hands for help. We have assured them that we would try our best to help her walk again. Now, all we need is your help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Amiran’s artificial leg as much as you can. Donate now!
Disclaimer: Transparent Hands makes sure that all the patients get surgery in time. If a patient requires urgent surgery and his/her condition is serious, Transparent Hands conducts the surgery immediately. In the meantime, his/her campaign stays active on the website until we raise the complete funding. The hospitals on our panel have complete trust in us and wait for the payments until the patient's funding is completed.
Amiran Bibi's Story
Amiran Bibi, aged 63, a resident of Mian Channu, is a diabetic patient. 4 years back, Amiran Bibi got an inflammation in the big toe of her left foot. The doctor diagnosed her with diabetic foot and amputated the big toe of her left foot in order to stop the spreading of infection. Unfortunately, over time, her inflammation spread so the doctor had to opt for below left knee amputation. Now, in order to run her daily errands, she required a left below knee prosthesis. She was sent to Hope Rehabilitation Centre for this purpose where she received her new prosthetic leg after consultation with Dr. Khalid Niazi on 08.09.2021. She is on her way to recovery and to start a normal life again.
