Eleven years old Aneesa Ghazal is a student of grade 4. She is a brilliant student. But, lately she has been unable to go to school. The reason behind her recurrent absence is her throat infection . Aneesa Ghazal has been suffering from a sore throat, difficulty swallowing and recurrent fevers for the last two years. At first, the condition was mild. But gradually, her condition worsened. Now, Aneesa cannot swallow her saliva painlessly. So, Aneesa’s parents took her to the hospital. Consequently, upon thorough checkup, the doctor diagnosed her with Chronic Tonsillitis. Chronic tonsillitis is a persistent infection of the tonsils.
Now, the doctor has advised him to undergo a Tonsillectomy as soon as possible. Tonsillectomy is a surgical procedure in which the surgeon will remove both her tonsils.
“The worst thing about this disease is not pain and discomfort. It is that some days the pain and discomfort is a hurdle in my school activities. I do not like to be absent. Please donate for my case. I am tired now.” -Aneesa Ghazal.
Surgery is a permanent solution for Aneesa’s recurrent disease. However, her problems do not end here. Aneesa’s parents cannot afford the surgery. Her father is the sole earner of the family. He works as a school teacher. He is severely underpaid. Thus, he cannot pay for his daughter’s surgery.

Aneesa Ghazal's Story
Aneesa Ghazal, aged 11 years, suffered from frequent episodes of fever. She also experienced difficulty in breathing and swallowing. When her parents took her for medical consultation, her condition was diagnosed as chronic tonsillitis. The ENT specialist advised tonsillectomy surgery for Aneesa. For this purpose, she was admitted to Ahmad Medical Complex and her inflamed tonsils were removed by Dr. Syed Mudassir Shah on 22.02.2021. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Aneesa has uninterrupted sleep now since she can breathe easily post-surgery.
