Muhammad Arshad's Story
Mr. Muhammad Arshad, a fifty-five years old villager from Faisalabad is unfortunately suffering from ischemic heart disease. Ischemic heart disease basically narrows the arteries as a result less oxygen and blood is pumped towards heart muscles. Deprivation of heart muscles from oxygen leads to heart attack. Initially, he had chest pain and hypertension. The doctors prescribed him medication but it did not provide any relief. Instead it aggravated it. Therefore, doctors recommended more medical tests along with angiography which took place around two months before. As per the results, the doctors have advised Arshad to undergo a PCI. This is a non-surgical procedure in which a catheter is used to place stents to open up blood vessels in the heart that have been narrowed by plaque. Arshad a milkman is the only bread earner of his family. His family includes six members including him, four children and a wife. His monthly income is just fourteen thousand rupees. With such a minimal income it is quite impossible for him and his family to afford the surgical expenses on his own. He says:
“My choices are about as tough as things get. Do I afford my treatment or do I provide bread for my family? Put yourself in my shoes, and only then you will understand how difficult things are for me right now”
The family is in extreme plight since Arshad is the only earner of his family. In such a gloomy and dark situation, a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel still exists in the form of donations. Your single donation can decide the fate of this poor family. They are in need of YOUR help. A poor family with a lot of expectations is looking forward to your donations.
