Awais Shahnawaz's Story

Before reading the details of Awais’ ailment, please know that even your smallest contribution will help him live a healthy life. We urge you to donate for Awais’ TOF repair surgery as soon as possible.

Awais Shahnawaz, a four-year-old resident of Rahim Yar Khan, has been suffering from a congenital heart disease. He has been experiencing symptoms of tachycardia and breathlessness since birth. Awais’ parents noticed his unusual pattern of often falling sick. Upon consultation, he was advised by the doctor to undergo a number of diagnostic tests to determine his  illness. Awais’ reports revealed that he is suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot. Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is a group of four congenital heart defects. The doctor then advised him to undergo a Total Correction – Open Heart Surgery. The goal of this surgery is to repair the defects of Tetralogy of Fallot so the heart can work as normally as possible. Repairing the defects can greatly improve a child’s health and quality of life.

Awais’ father is a peon and hardly manages to earn PKR 15,000. In these gloomy times and with a meager income, it is impossible for Awais’ parents to afford the hefty cost of this procedure. A ray of hope still exists at the end of the tunnel in the form of your donations. Awais’ sorrowed mother expressed her feelings in the following words:

“ I pray that no mother has to live with the pain of seeing their child suffer every day. Kids his age are so active and play, but my son gets breathless just after a little activity and seeing him like that makes me break into tears. This organization is our last hope. Please help us.”

Transparent Hands has registered Awais’ case. We are determined to help him. But, this will not be possible without your support. Please donate for Awais’ TOF repair without any  delay.
