Ayeza Shah's Story
When Ayeza Shah visited our office for the registration of her case she was smiling at everyone. Her presence filled the room with so much joy and positivity. But later her father told us that she is suffering from hearing loss and she can’t listen to our voices. That’s when we came to know that the smile was actually because of the cluelessness she was experiencing because of her inability to understand what we were saying. We therefore urge you to help Ayeza Shah by donating for her cochlear implant surgery. Donate for Ayeza Shah’s Cochlear Implant Surgery.
Ayeza Shah, aged 5 years, a resident of Peshawar, was suffering from hearing loss since birth. Her parents came to know about the issue when she was nearly one year old. They observed that Ayeza was not responding to any sound. Her parents took her to the hospital and there, the doctors diagnosed her with sensorineural hearing loss. The doctors advised cochlear implant surgery as the only solution for her condition.
A cochlear implant is the installation of an electronic device that helps generate the sense of sound. It is the only solution for Ayeza’s condition but they cannot afford the hefty cost of this surgery. Ayeza’s father is a farmer with a small income of PKR. 15,000 per month. In the current circumstances, feeding a family of 6 members is very difficult for him. He is therefore unable to afford this surgery. Her father told us that:
“She can’t hear your voices, she can’t hear our voices, she can’t even hear her own voice. Isn’t this a lot to bear for a 5 year old child? First her siblings were suffering from the same ailment, and now it’s Ayeza. This disability has devastated our whole family. I just want my child to be free from this suffering.”
After a lot of distress, Ayeza’s parents decided to register her case with Transparent Hands. We have assured them that we would try our best to arrange for Ayeza’s surgery. But, it is not possible without your help. Imagine the smile on her face after she unlocks the world of sound with your help. Donate for Ayeza Shah’s Cochlear Implant Surgery

Ayeza Shah's Story
Ayeza Shah, a five-year-old resident of Charsadda, was suffering from sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) since birth. In order to develop her sense of hearing, the doctors advised her to have cochlear implant surgery. This was the only cure for her condition. Her operation was performed by Dr. Jawwad on 12-12-2021 at Ali Medical Complex, Rawalpindi and the internal component of the implant was fixed. She recovered well from the procedure and was discharged from the hospital on the day of her surgery. She is having regular follow-ups with the audiologist for the fixation of the external component.
