Basran Khan's Story

Before you proceed to read Basran’s tale of woes, please know that you can help her. Your donation, however small it may be, will help Barsan lead a pain free life. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Basran’s Angiography and PCI as much as you can.

Eighty years old Basran Khan suffers from unstable angina. Unstable angina is a condition in which your heart doesn’t get enough blood flow and oxygen. It may lead to a heart attack. Angina is a type of chest discomfort caused by poor blood flow through the blood vessels (coronary vessels) of the heart muscle (myocardium). A few months ago, Basran underwent an angioplasty but the angina pain persisted. Therefore, after ECG, the cardiologist has advised her to undergo Angiography and PCI. Angiography is an imaging test used to visualize the arteries of the heart. As per the results of Angiography, Basran Khan will go through a procedure of PCI. Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is a non-surgical procedure to improve the blood flow to the heart.

Unfortunately, Basran Khan cannot afford the hefty cost of an Angiography. Due to her withering age and deteriorating health, she has been unable to work. Thus, she financially depends on her son who is the sole earner of the family. He works as a driver and hardly manages to earn enough to keep the household running. He is in no position to arrange for his mother’s cardiac procedures. He told us:

“My mother is my only family. We only have each other in this entire world. Please help me save her life. I am at my wit’s end.”

Basran Khan’s son has registered her case with Transparent Hands. Your financial help, however small it may be, is much needed. Please donate for Basran’s Angiography and PCI and help an old woman live pain-free.
