Four years Muhammad Bilal has the most beautiful smile. Behind this beautiful smile, is a truth unknown to the world. Muhammad Bilal suffers from a congenital disorder called Anorectal Malformation. To treat this, Muhammad Bilal has had a colostomy and PSARP surgery. Now, as the third and final step of the procedure, Muhammad Bilal has to undergo a Colostomy reversal surgery.

A colostomy closure surgery is an integral step in Bilal’s journey towards recovery. However, it is not an affordable surgery. Unfortunately, Bilal’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a colostomy reversal surgery. His previous surgeries were done through Transparent Hands. Now, they have requested Transparent Hands for help again. Unfortunately, Muhammad Bilal’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a colostomy reversal surgery. Muhammad Bilal’s father works at a shoe shop and hardly manages to earn PKR 17000 per month. Consequently, with a family of four to raise, he cannot afford the surgical expenses of his son. He told us:

“We circled back and forth to so many hospitals in search of a free surgery for my son, but everyone sent us back empty-handed. It’s only Transparent Hands who listened to us with open ears and hearts again.”

After a lot of effort and distress, Bilal’s parents have registered his case with Transparent Hands. We want to get him happy and healthy as soon as we can. But, we need your help with that. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Bilal’s colostomy reversal as much as you can.

Muhammad Bilal's Story

Four-year-old Muhammad Bilal, a resident of Lahore, was suffering from anorectal malformation since birth. His colostomy was performed and a stoma was placed a couple of days after his birth. A few months ago, he came to Transparent Hands for assistance and his PSARP surgery was conducted to make his back passage. He healed significantly and the doctor advised him to undergo a colostomy reversal. For this purpose, Muhammad Bilal was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital where his surgery was performed successfully by Dr. Daud on 27.04.2022. He stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged in stable condition.
