For the last many years, twenty-two years old Esha has been suffering from brief episodes of cyanosis and breathlessness. She consulted a local hospital in search of treatment. There, she was diagnosed with TOF, and the doctor advised her to undergo open-heart surgery. Esha underwent open-heart surgery 15 years ago. Esha thought it to be the end of her pain and misery, but unfortunately, it was far from it.

For the last three years, Esha has been suffering from episodes of acute chest pain as well as breathlessness. After consultation and due tests, the doctor has diagnosed Esha with a Pulmonary regurgitation. It is a condition where the pulmonary valve, which regulates blood flow from the right side of the heart to the lungs, does not close properly and a portion of it leaks back to the right side of the heart.

Now, the cardiologists have advised Esha Eman to undergo valve replacement surgery. In this surgery, the surgeon replaces it with a mechanical valve made from artificial materials.

Unfortunately, Esha’s family cannot afford the hefty cost of a valve replacement surgery. Esha’s husband has been unemployed ever since the pandemic hit Pakistan. Therefore, they are in no position to arrange her valve replacement surgery. He told us:
