Muhammad Essa's Story

Essa is an innocent boy who was born without the sense of hearing. His parents are distressed, but they are also hopeful because he will be able to hear if they get him a cochlear implant. However, it’s a very expensive device and there’s no way for them to afford it without your help. Essa’s well-being and future depend on this device. We urge you to donate for Essa’s cochlear implant surgery.

Seven-year-old Muhammad Essa Farooq, a resident of Rawalpindi, has been suffering from hearing loss since he was born. Until his first birthday, his parents were completely unaware of this. His parents took him to the nearest hospital when they discovered he wasn’t responding to his name and other sounds. Doctors diagnosed him with sensorineural hearing loss. The doctor recommended that he should get a cochlear implant. An electronic device is surgically installed during cochlear implant surgery. It helps the patient with developing a sense of hearing.

Muhammad Essa Farooq’s parents have some hope now because they know a cochlear implant surgery can help their son. However, they can’t pay for it on their own due to financial constraints.

His parents live in a small house. His father supports a family of five members with a meager income. He earns just PKR 15,000 – 20,000 per month. There is no way for Essa’s father to pay for the cochlear implant surgery.

Someone told them about Transparent Hands and they reached out to us. We promised to help this little boy and his family. But we need your help to improve his future.

“Our son has never heard our any sound, it shocked us. I hope that someone will be able to help us with getting him a cochlear implant.” – Essa’s father

Essa’s parents are praying to find generous donors like you to give their son a better future. Please donate for Essa’s Cochlear Implant Surgery and help him live his life to the fullest.

Muhammad Essa's Story

Essa, a brave seven-year-old from Rawalpindi, faced a tough challenge after an accident caused him to suffer from sensorineural hearing loss. However, his parents were determined to give him a brighter future and never lost hope. They reached out to Bait Ul Maal and Transparent Hands for financial assistance and support in securing the life-changing cochlear implant surgery that he needed.

On August 16th, 2022, Essa and his family journeyed to Ali Medical Centre in Islamabad, where he was under the care of the talented Dr. Jawwad Ahmed. The operation was carried out with the utmost care and precision, and Essa's internal cochlear implant component was successfully installed.

The following six weeks were filled with anticipation and excitement as Essa and his family waited for the final installation of the external component of the cochlear implant. Finally, the moment arrived, and Essa was given the gift of sound. The transformation was truly magical, as Essa was now able to hear sounds for the first time in his life. He was overjoyed and filled with wonder as he explored this brand new world of sound and was even able to respond to his name.
