For four years old Muhammad Falah has been suffering from Anorectal malformation (ARM). Anorectal malformation is a congenital abnormality, in which the anus and rectum (the lower end of the digestive tract) do not develop properly. To treat this condition, Muhammad Falah has had a colostomy and ASARP surgery. As the third and final step of the procedure, he has to undergo a Colostomy closure surgery.
A colostomy closure surgery is an integral step in Falah’s journey towards recovery. However, it is not an affordable surgery. Unfortunately, Falah’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a colostomy reversal surgery. His previous surgeries were done at a public hospital. Now, because of COVID closures, they could get a date at any public hospital. Amid the COVID layoffs, Muhammad Falah’s father lost his job. Therefore, they are entirely dependent on his grandfather, who works as a salesman and hardly manages to earn PKR 30,000 per month. With this income, he is hardly able to run the household. Muhammad Falah’s mother told us:
“My son was born with a birth defect, and he has had surgery done. He now needs a final surgery, but we do not have the resources to afford it. Your kind donations will enable him to start living a normal life.”
After a lot of effort and distress, Falah’s parents have registered his case with Transparent Hands. We want to get him happy and healthy as soon as we can. But, we need your help with that. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Falah’s colostomy reversal as much as you can.

Muhammad Falah's Story
Muhammad Falah, a four-year-old resident of Nankana Sahib, was born with Anorectal Malformation. His first procedure was done at birth and second (ASARP) was done with the assistance of Transparent Hands. He came to us for a Colostomy Reversal. Hence, he was sent to Akram Medical Complex for his surgery by Dr. Bilal Mirza on 13-09-21. His surgery was successful and Falah was discharged after five days of hospital stay in a stable condition. He is now healthy and looking forward to a bright future.
