Farman Ali's Story
Before you proceed to read the sorry tale of Farman’s ailment, please know that you can help him. Your donation, however small it may be, will change Farman’s life for the better. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Farman’s Superficial Parotidectomy as much as you can.
Three years ago, Farman Ali suffered from flu and fever. Moreover, he developed a lump on the right side of his face and neck. Later, over the course of three years, the lump increased in size and became painful. After tests, he was diagnosed with Right Parotid Pleomorphic Adenoma. Pleomorphic adenomas are benign salivary gland tumors, which predominantly affect the superficial lobe of the parotid gland. The “polymorphic” nature of the tumor can be explained based on its epithelial and connective tissue origin.
No, to treat this condition, the doctor has advised Farman to undergo a Parotidectomy. Parotidectomy is the partial or complete removal of the parotid gland. Unfortunately, Farman Ali cannot afford the hefty cost of his surgery as he is the sole earner of the family. He works at an office and hardly manages to earn PKR 35,000 per month. With a family of seven to take care of, he cannot afford the cost of the surgery at all. He told us:
“Whoever is reading this, I request you all to please help me. I have been to a million local hospitals and could not get help anywhere. Please help me.”
After a lot of physical and mental distress, Farman Ali has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We have assured him that we would arrange his surgery as soon as we can. But, it won’t be possible without your help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Farman’s Superficial Parotidectomy as much as you can. Now, you can click the green button above and donate.
