Muhammad Hamza 's Story

Muhammad Hamza is at risk of heart failure if his heart defect is not fixed with Redo Open-Heart surgery. He is an innocent boy with a whole life ahead of him, but his deteriorating health makes it challenging for him to lead a healthy life. His parents are not financially stable enough to pay for the expensive heart surgery. We ask that you donate to Hamza’s Redo Open-Heart Surgery in order to extend his life. Your donation can help us save his heart.

Ten-year-old Hamza, a resident of Faisalabad, has been suffering from generalized body swelling, dyspnea, cyanosis, and frequent episodes of chest pain since birth. His parents learned about his condition when he was just 21 days old. His parents took him to the hospital. After running diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed him with a right atrial tumor and Tricuspid regurgitation (TR). He was operated on for Atrial Tumor Resection at the age of one year. He is again suffering from fatigue, heart palpitations, and generalized body swelling. His family consulted with the doctor once more, and the doctor advised him to have open heart surgery for tricuspid valve replacement redone. Tricuspid valve replacement is a surgical procedure to treat a damaged or diseased valve separating the heart’s right-sided chambers.

He lives with his parents and four siblings. His father is the only breadwinner in the family and earns just PKR 25,000 per month. He has no other source of income. With this meager income, he is unable to afford the surgical expenses. His father said in despair:

“My son has been struggling with heart disease for so many years and I am helpless to help him. Please respond to my appeal and donate generously for my son’s heart surgery.”

After a lot of emotional distress, Hamza’s parents registered his case with us. With your donations, we will be able to arrange his heart surgery. Please donate for Hamza’s Redo Open-Heart Surgery and help us keep his heart beating. Be the hope for the father who is helpless.

Muhammad Hamza was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, where his operation was performed by Dr. Asim on 15-12-2022.

His tricuspid valve was repaired. He was discharged from the hospital after a six-day stay. This surgery was made possible with the support of the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation. Hamza is doing fine now. We sincerely appreciate your kind support. We can't do it without you, and we appreciate your willingness to lend a helping hand.
