Hussain Ahmad's Story
Three and a half years old. That is the age of Hussain Ahmed, a kid Mir pur Thalo district Ghotki. The little one suffers from problems that are much bigger than his age. Yes, Hussain Ahmed suffers from ASD. Ah, but you can’t recall what ASD is! It stands for Atrial Septal Defect, a condition in which a hole exists in the septum that separates heart atria. As a result of this defect, the oxygen-rich blood can’t be pumped to different body parts. We are sure that you get the picture of what little Hussain Ahmed goes through every day.
What is the solution to Hussain Ahmed’s problem? Medicines can provide temporary relief but these are not a permanent, long-term solution. What can fix Hussain’s problems forever? Well, Hussain’s doctors have recommended a cardiac surgery i.e. an open heart surgery for Hussain’s ASD woes. But considering the financial status of Hussain’s family, an open-heart surgery seems to be a dream that is too unrealistic to be materialized.
“Our hearts break a little every time we see our son’s lips turn blue as he faints because of ASD. We came to know about his condition when he was one and a half years old. All the echo reports and two holes are all that we can think about every day and night. We are advised by doctors to go for open-heart surgery, but managing finances for that is a puzzle we can’t solve”
Too much truth in those words. Hussain’s five-membered family lives in a 2-marla house and a meager 9K PKR is all that his father can afford through laboring all month. To expect them to manage an open heart surgery’s finances is nothing but a cruel joke. And yet, there is hope at the end of this rather long and dark tunnel. Transparent Hands is ready to fight for Hussain Ahmad’s cause. But to do that, we need your help.
You know all about Hussain and enough about ASD. It is time to act. Donate now for this little angel’s cause!
