Javeria Nadeem, a 15-year-old resident of Lahore, was born with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). ASD refers to a hole between the heart’s upper chambers (atria). She suffers from nausea, vomiting, and shortness of breath, even with mild exertion. In addition to this, she cannot put on any weight. Her family took her to a nearby hospital for a doctor’s consultation a short while ago. Following the examination and the completion of several diagnostic tests, the cardiologist recommended open-heart surgery for the ASD Closure.

Javeria resides with her parents, and her father works as a laborer. They live in a rented house. With no other source of income, affording her surgical expenses is beyond their means. Javeria Nadeem 's Story

Javeria Nadeem, a brave 15-year-old girl from Lahore, was born with a heart defect called Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). This meant there was a hole in her heart's upper chambers, causing her to feel sick, have trouble breathing, and struggle to gain weight. Her family took her to a nearby hospital, where the doctor recommended ASD Closure to fix the problem. But the surgery was very expensive, and Javeria's family couldn't afford it.

Fortunately, Javeria's family reached out to Transparent Hands for financial support. After her case registration, she was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital, where a skilled doctor named Dr. Faiz Rasool performed her surgery on 18-08-2023.

During her hospital stay, Javeria received excellent care, with all medications, tests, and accommodation provided free of charge. After four days, she was discharged from the hospital in a satisfactory condition, reflecting the successful outcome of her treatment.
