Kalsoom Bibi's Story

Kalsoom Bibi, a 68-year-old resident of Muzaffargarh, has been suffering from the worst effects of knee osteoarthritis for the past five years. She used to be very active and energetic, but now due to the constant pain and swelling in her left knee, she could not perform her day-to-day activities.

Despite the financial constraints, Kalsoom is determined to reclaim her mobility and get back to her normal life. After she sought medical assistance, her doctor advised that the best course of action for resolving her discomfort and regaining her mobility was a left total knee replacement. However, Kalsoom and her loved ones are in grave difficulty since the surgery is far more expensive than the family can afford.

She lives in a small house with her husband and seven children in Muzzaffargarh. She has four sons and three daughters. However, her medical condition has had an excessive physical and financial impact on her.

Her family’s financial condition is unstable as her husband is jobless due to old age. She is financially dependent on his son’s income. Working at a nearby hotel, one of her sons can make a little living, but not quite enough to meet basic needs. The unfortunate drug addiction of two of Kalsoom’s children has made the family’s financial difficulties much worse.

“My dream is to be able to walk without pain and to once again care for my family as I have done for so many years. But this would remain unattainable without the help of kind donors like you, “  stated Kalsoom Bibi.

Kalsoom may now live in a pain-free future with the support of kind donations. Your little but meaningful financial gift can have a big impact on this old woman. You can not only heal Kalsoom’s pain but also provide her ray of hope, she needs.
