Donate for Kalsoom’s DJ Stent Removal Procedure

Kalsoom Bibi's Story

Kalsoom, aged 22 years, a resident of District Ghotki, suffered from recurrent episodes of intense pain in her left abdominal area. Her examination and reports revealed that she had renal stones in her left kidney. She, therefore, underwent a pyelolithotomy. Furthermore, a DJ stent was also placed. Now, the doctors have advised the removal of the DJ stent since Kalsoom has recovered from her surgery.

However, Kalsoom’s family is already undergoing financial distress. Her husband works as a farmer and earns only PKR 12,000 per month. In these circumstances, managing the monthly expenses of seven members of his family becomes very difficult for him. Kalsoom’s treatment expenditure has kept him awake for months. He narrates his sorrow in the following words:

“My wife has been unwell for many months now. Although I wanted the best for her, it was very difficult for me to arrange for her treatment and medicines. I want nothing more than to see her fully recovered.”

Kalsoom Allah Ditta, a 22-year-old resident of Ghotki, was experiencing pain in her left lumbar region for the past nine years. Upon consultation, the doctor advised pyelolithotomy and DJ stent placement. These procedures were performed back in May 2021. Recently, she reached out to Transparent Hands for the removal of the DJ stent. For this purpose, Kalsoom was admitted to Lala Medical Complex and her DJ stent was removed by Dr. S. R. Balouch on 15.06.2021. She stayed in the hospital for one day and was discharged in a stable condition. Kalsoom is feeling much better after the removal of her DJ stent.
