Muhammad Khuzaima's Story

Little Muhammad Khuzaima is a stranger to all the beautiful sounds of the world. Your donations, however big or small they may be, can get Khuzaima the treatment he needs. Your support can improve Khuzaima’s quality of life immensely. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Khuzaima’s Cochlear Implant as much as you can.

Five-year-old Muhammad Khuzaima hails from Gujjar Khan, Punjab. Ever since Khuzaima was born, he hasn’t responded to loud noises and his mother’s voice. At first, his parents did not pay any heed to it. However, later, at the age of one year, they took him for a check-up to rule out any doubts and fears. Unfortunately, the doctor diagnosed Muhammad Khuzaima with Sensorinueral Hearing Loss. To treat this condition, the ENT surgeon advised him to undergo Cochlear Implant surgery. A Cochlear Implant is a prosthetic hearing device that will give him a modified sense of hearing.

Khuzaima’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a Cochlear Implant surgery. His father is a manual laborer and hardly manages to make PKR 20,000 per month. With this income, it is impossible for him to arrange Khuzaima’s surgery. His wife told us:

“My husband is an honest man. He works hard everyday to put food on the table. The thought of our son’s hearing disability keeps him up all night. Please help us.”

Muhammad Khuzaima’s parents have been visiting public hospitals for many years now. Unfortunately, they have only met with long waiting lines and no help. Therefore, as a last resort, they have registered their case with Transparent Hands. We are determined to arrange Khuzaima’s surgery as soon as we can. But, it won’t be possible without your generous donations. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Khuzaima’s Cochlear Implant and change his future.

Muhammad Khuzaima's Story

Five-year-old Khuzaima's life was transformed forever after he was diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss from birth. It was only when he turned one that his parents discovered his condition and immediately took him to a local hospital for evaluation. The doctor's recommendation for Cochlear Implant Surgery came as a shock, but Khuzaima's parents were willing to do whatever it takes to give their child a chance at a better life.

With your support, we admitted Khuzaima to Ali Medical Centre in Islamabad, where Dr. Jawwad Ahmed performed the life-changing operation on September 10th, 2022. The procedure was a success, and the internal component of the cochlear implant was implanted successfully. Khuzaima's parents felt a glimmer of hope and gratitude as they saw their little one recovering after just a day in the hospital.

Their prayers were answered six weeks later when the external component of the cochlear implant was also fixed, allowing Khuzaima to hear for the first time in his life. The joy that filled his heart was indescribable as he discovered new sounds every day. Donate for cochlear implants to give the gift of hearing to children like Khuzaima.
