Ever since Mafiya was born, she suffered from a visible lump in the umbilical region. The lump becomes immensely painful whenever Mafiya tries to run, laugh or do any activity that involves exertion. After a medical investigation, the doctor diagnosed it as an Umbilical Hernia. A hernia is an extremely painful condition that can make the patient’s life quite discontented. Simply described, a hernia refers to the protrusion of an organ or tissue through the weak cavity wall.
To treat this condition, Mafiya has to undergo a Hernia Repair surgery. Unfortunately, Mafiya’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a Hernia Repair surgery. Mafiya’s father repairs fruit baskets for a living. He hardly manages to earn PKR 18000 per month. Consequently, with a family of seven to raise in this measly income, he is in no position to arrange for Mafiya’s surgery. He told us:
“I feel so helpless whenever I see my daughter wailing in pain. She is only six years old. She does not deserve this. No kid deserves this pain.”
With the help of a doctor at a local hospital, Mafiya’s parents have registered her case with Transparent Hands. With your help, we will be able to arrange her surgery for free. Your donation, however little it may be, will relieve Mafiya of the pain that engulfs her. Therefore, we request you to donate for Mafiya’s Hernia Repair as much as you can.
