Misbah Bibi's Story
Misbah Bibi, 2 years old, was born with anorectal malformation called recto-vestibular fistula. Because of this condition, she discharged her fecal contents through her genital orifice. The doctors advised her to have a colostomy made for diversion of fecal contents towards stoma followed by reconstruction of her back passage. The surgery would help divert the bowel to an opening in her abdomen where a stoma would be created in the first stage and then her stool passage will be made at the usual site subsequently. Misbah’s parents took her to the local hospital multiple times but a date was not assigned for her surgery.
Misbah’s father is a daily wager. He cannot even afford the travel expenses. The prospect of funding for a surgery is completely out of question. He earns only PKR 10,000 per month and all six members of his family are dependent on him.
“My little baby has been suffering since her birth. It breaks my heart when needles are pierced into her tiny arms. She has visited hospitals way too many times in her short life. We had almost lost hope when one of our family members told us about the Transparent Hands Trust. Honestly, this organization is our last hope.”– says Misbah’s father
Misbah and her family are desperately waiting for your help. Your small donation will make a huge difference in her life. So, please make a generous donation for her diversion colostomy surgery.
Disclaimer: Transparent Hands makes sure that all the patients get surgery in time. If a patient requires urgent surgery and his/her condition is serious, Transparent Hands conducts the surgery immediately. In the meantime, his/her campaign stays active on the website until we raise the complete funding. The hospitals on our panel have complete trust in us and wait for the payments until the patient's funding is completed.
