Muhammad Asif's Story

Before you dive into the story of Muhammad Asif, we want you to know that Muhammad Asif needs your donations to stand up and get back on his feet. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Muhammad Asif’s hip replacement.

For the last ten years, Muhammad Asif had been suffering from pain in his right hip. Along with that, he felt pain in his entire body. Upon check-up, the doctor diagnosed Muhammad Asif with avascular necrosis (AVN) to his right hip. This AVN is the death of bone tissue secondary to loss of blood supply. At first, the doctors tried to help his condition through medication. But unfortunately, for the last four months, he has been unable to stand up or walk. All of his life has resorted to either crutches or a wheelchair.

Now, the only option to treat this defect is total hip replacement surgery. It is a surgery to replace the damaged hip joint. During the process, the surgeon replaces the old joint with an artificial joint (prosthesis).

Due to his withering condition, Muhammad Asif is not able to work. Therefore, he is financially dependent on his father, who works as a laborer. He hardly earns PKR 15000 per month. With a family of seven to take care of, he is unable to arrange for Asif’s surgery out of his pocket. He told us:

“I have nothing much to say. My son is supposed to be my right hand. He is supposed to help me take care of the family, but such is the cruelty of fate that I have to be the one taking care of him. Please help my son get back up.”

After a lot of mental and physical distress, Muhammad Asif has requested Transparent Hands for help. We hope that with your kind donations, we will be able to arrange his surgery for free. Therefore, we urge you to please donate for Muhammad Asif’s hip replacement surgery as much as you can.
