One-year-old Muhammad Yousaf hails from district Gujranwala. Since birth, he has been suffering from a condition known as Subcoronal Hypospadias. In subcoronal hypospadias, the opening of the boy’s urethra is located just below the head of the penis. To treat this condition the doctor has advised Muhammad Yousaf to undergo Urethroplasty. Urethroplasty is the surgery to repair the urethra, the internal tube that transports urine out of the body.

While the surgery offers a permanent solution to Muhammad Yousaf’s ailment, unfortunately, Yousaf’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of the surgery. Yousaf’s father is the only earner in the entire family. He works as a laborer on daily wages. Despite all the hard work he does, he only manages to earn PKR 15,000 per month. With this meager income and a family to support, it is almost impossible for him to pay for Yousaf’s surgery. He hardly manages to make ends meet. He told us:

Muhammad Yousaf's Story

One-year-old Muhammad Yousaf, a resident of Gujranwala, had been experiencing abnormal stream of urine since birth. His parents took him for a consultation. Upon consultation, the doctor diagnosed Yousaf with SubCoronal Hypospadias. As a lasting cure, Yousaf was advised to undergo Urethroplasty. Since Yousaf’s family was facing financial constraints, they couldn't bear the cost of the procedure. Yousaf’s father found out about Transparent Hands and contacted us. We registered his case and referred him to Lahore Care Hospital for treatment. His Urethroplasty was performed by Dr. Sajid Iqbal on 10-03-2022. He was discharged after two days of hospital stay in satisfactory condition. Yousaf is now healthy.
