Muskan Umar's Story

At the age of mere three years, Muskan Umar has gone through the pain of a lifetime. We wish to relieve her of her pain. Now, all we need is your help. Please donate for Muskan’s ASD closure as much as you can. 

This little angel Muskan Umar has been suffering from Atrial Septal Defect since birth. ASD refers to a condition in which a hole exists in the cardiac septum that separates the upper two atrial chambers. This cardiac defect can lead to serious consequences. Consequently, to treat this defect, the cardiac surgeon has advised Muskan Umar to undergo an ASD repair. In short, ASD repair is a surgical procedure. In this procedure the cardiac surgeon places a patch to close the hole. The only thing standing between Muskan and the treatment she needs is financial constraints. 

Unfortunately, Muskan Umar’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of an ASD closure surgery. Because,  her father is the sole earner of the family. He works as a laborer with a construction firm and hardly earns PKR 10,000 per month. Therefore, in this measly income, he can barely put food on the table. Muskan’s mother told us:

“Worry does not let me sleep. Most of the nights I stay awake looking after my daughter. On rare occasions, when I manage to sleep, I wake up in the middle of the night. Petrified out of my mind. The situations are extremely stressful. Transparent Hands is the only ray of sunshine in these dark times.”

Now, with the help of their doctor, Muskan Umar’s parents have registered their case with Transparent Hands. We have assured them that we would try our best to get their daughter happy and healthy as soon as we can. Now, all we need is your help.
