Thirty-two years old Najma Sherazi noticed a lump around her underarm a year ago. She consulted a doctor. After a thorough investigation, the doctor diagnosed Najma Sherazi with breast cancer. The news played havoc with Najma’s household. Everyone was in extreme distress about Najma’s life. Later, her treatment started, and Najma Sherazi went through 8 cycles of Neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by modified radical mastectomy (MRM) for her right breast. MRM is a procedure that removes the whole breast involved with a tumor. 

Now, Najma Sherazi has to undergo Adjuvant Chemoradiation treatment. Adjuvant chemotherapy is administered before radiotherapy to address the potential systemic element of the disease. This treatment is an important step in Najma’s fight against cancer.

But, Najma Sherazi does not have the means to afford the hefty cost of her cancer treatment. Her husband is the sole earner of the family. He works at a petrol pump and hardly earns PKR 15000 per month. With a family of five to feed. He is in no position to arrange for his wife’s cancer treatment. He told us:

“Every day, I am worried for my wife’s life. I do not even have the heart to imagine what would happen if she does not get the treatment she needs. Please help us with Najma’s cancer treatment.”
