Naveeda Bibi's Story

33-year-old Naveeda hails from Kahnewal, and since last year or so, she has been suffering from the painful condition of gall stones. Naveeda was willing to ignore the first few pangs of abdominal pain that she felt because of gall stones. But when things became too painful for her to handle, she visited a doctor who gave her medicine that promised a temporary relief. However, the situation has worsened over the last few years or so, to a point where a laparoscopic cholecystectomy is unavoidable.

In simpler words, laparoscopic cholecystectomy refers to a surgical procedure in which a patient’s gall bladder is removed. For those of you who don’t know it already, a laparoscope is just a narrow tube with an attached camera. This tube allows the surgeon to remove your gall bladder and assess the overall situation in a safe way. While there are no doubts about the effectiveness of the procedure, it is certainly one of the more costly surgeries. And this is exactly the reason why Naveeda has not undergone this surgery yet. You see, her family is battling a financial crisis that is having the better of them. Naveeda says:

“Our four-membered family is entirely dependent on my husband, and he is not earning ENOUGH, despite trying everything at his disposal. Tell me honestly, do you really believe I can afford surgery for my gall stones within the 12,000 that he is earning every month? I am not complaining, but I am not going to express fake optimism either. Things are not good, that is all”

Life can turn a person bitter and hopeless, it is that cruel! Not only do we expect you to understand what Naveeda is going through right now, but do something to help her as well. And the best way to help Naveeda is to donate for her laparoscopic cholecystectomy NOW!
