Nazia Bibi's Story

Today, we are writing to you to urge you to Donate for Nazia Bibi’s Mitral Valve Replacement. As, in the prime age of her life, 27 years old Nazia Bibi has been suffering from Mitral Stenosis for the last 3 years. Mitral stenosis — is a narrowing of the heart’s mitral valve. This abnormal valve doesn’t open properly, blocking blood flow into the main pumping chamber of the heart. Earlier, her condition started with a high fever, fatigue and slowly extended to shortness of breath and chest tightness. Despite many remedies and medicines, her symptoms did not subside. As a result, over 3 years, her condition has worsened to a point where she is unable to continue her household chores normally.

Now, seeing her distress, the cardiac surgeon has advised a Mitral valve replacement surgery in which the diseased mitral valve of her heart will be replaced by a mechanical/prosthetic valve. We urge you all to please donate for Nazia Bibi’s Mitral Valve Replacement.

Right now, I am unable to see the bigger picture of my life. I do not see a future for myself. My life has shrunk to a dot in which I only see a bed and a series of labored breaths. Can you imagine being tired for three continuous years? That is what my life has been for the past 3 years. I am tired to a point where I cannot even pick up my own baby. – Nazia Bibi

Currently, Nazia Bibi is hovering on the threshold of life and death. The surgery is the only option for her cure but it is also an expensive one. Her husband, the sole earner of the family is a laborer who hardly earns enough to keep his household running. With rising inflation, he is unable to bear the expenses of his wife’s surgery.

At last, through her doctor’s help, Nazia Bibi has registered her case with Transparent Hands. We have assured her that through your generous support we will arrange a free surgery for her. Please donate for Nazia Bibi’s Mitral Valve Replacement as much as you can.

Nazia Bibi's Story

27 years old Nazia Bibi from Narowal has been suffering fatigue and breathlessness for the last 3 years. She was investigated by a cardiologist and found to have Mitral Stenosis. The cardiac surgeon advised her a Mitral valve replacement surgery (MVR) for increasing her heart’s efficiency to pump blood. She was admitted to National Hospital and Medical Centre on 19.01.2021 where she underwent MVR by Dr. Ahmad Shahbaz. She was kept under observation until the doctors were completely satisfied with her recovery. Six days later, she was discharged from the hospital in a satisfactory condition. Now after being taken care of at home, she has significantly recovered and is looking forward to performing day to day tasks on her own very soon.
