Muhammad Noman's Story

Right now, Muhammad Noman is hovering between the threshold of life and death. Every second is crucial for him. Please donate for Noman’s open-heart surgery and help us put his life out of danger.

Muhammad Noman is a seven years old boy. Since birth, he has been falling prey to recurrent chest infections. So these infections caused severe episodes of breathlessness as well. Later, as the conditions persisted, his parents took him to a doctor. Accordingly, the doctor referred him to a cardiologist who diagnosed Noman with a PDA and ASD. A ventricular septal defect (VSD) is a hole in the heart. It is a common heart defect that’s present at birth. The hole occurs in the wall that separates the heart’s lower chambers. Moreover, Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) is a persistent opening between the two major blood vessels leading from the heart. As a result, both of these defects contribute to an abnormal increase in workload of the heart.

Consequently, to treat Noman’s heart condition, the doctor has advised him to undergo open-heart surgery. Without surgery, Muhammad Noman’s life would stay compromised. Therefore, we urge you to please donate for Noman’s open-heart surgery.

“We are extremely distressed about my son’s condition. Most of the days, my husband and I stay up all night. The horrific scenarios in our brains do not let us sleep. So I request you all to donate for Noman’s open-heart surgery. Save my child’s life.” -Muhammad Noman’s Mother.

Noman’s weak heart needs our help to keep it beating every second. Your donation for his surgery can give him a gift of new life. Without surgery, every second brings him one step closer to death. Seeing Noman’s pain has brought tears to our eyes. We have promised his parents that we will do our best to arrange his surgery. Now, all we need is your help. Please donate for Noman’s open-heart surgery and save his life.

Muhammad Noman's Story

Muhammad Noman, aged 7 years, a resident of Mansehra was suffering from recurrent chest infections and breathlessness since birth. Upon cardiac assessment, he was diagnosed with ventricular septal defect (VSD) and Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). He was advised by his cardiologist to undergo open heart surgery for VSD closure. For this purpose, he was admitted to The University Of Lahore Teaching Hospital Lahore, where Dr. Faiz Rasool performed open heart surgery for VSD closure on 08.03.2021. After five days of hospital stay Muhammad Noman was discharged in a satisfactory condition. The surgery was conducted with the support of Pakistan Children Heart foundation and other donors. A child who has had VSD closure, requires lifelong care, an optimized lifestyle and examinations by a cardiologist. Luckily now Muhammad Noman is beyond the initial stage of treatment and is looking forward to a healthy life.
