Noor Bibi, a 76-year-old resident of Rahim Yar Khan, has been suffering from episodes of upper abdominal pain for one year. She went to the local clinic for an initial check-up. The doctor prescribed some painkillers to relieve the pain. However, she was not cured. She went to another hospital and underwent some diagnostic tests. Upon evaluation, she was diagnosed with gallstones. Their presence is called Cholelithiasis. The doctor advised him to undergo an Open Cholecystectomy. It is a surgical procedure in which the surgeon makes a small incision in the abdomen below the ribs on the right side. The muscle and tissue are pulled back to reveal the liver and gallbladder and then the gallbladder is removed.
She lives in a small house. She has three sons, and two are paralyzed. She gets PKR 30,000 per month as financial support. Her sons are not supporting her financially. She has no other source of income. Therefore, she cannot afford the surgical expenses. She said in despair:
“I am old and feeble, and my condition is so painful. I need your help with my surgery to get back to my normal routine.”

Noor Bibi's Story
