Muhammad Qasim's Story

Before you dive into the details of Qasim’s ailment, please know that only your help can get him back up on his feet. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Qasim’s artificial leg.

At the mere age of eleven years, Muhammad Qasim met with a terrible roadside accident which deeply affected his left leg. After initial management, due to the severity of the wound, Muhammad Qasim’s left leg had to be amputated from an above knee level. Therefore, over the past years, twenty-three-year-old Qasim has been moving around on crutches in search of an artificial leg. Afterwards, the doctor advised Muhammad Qasim to get a prosthetic leg installed. A prosthesis or prosthetic implant is an artificial device that replaces a missing body part, which may be lost through trauma. Prostheses are intended to restore the normal functions of the missing body part.

Due to the COVID outbreak and partial closure of public hospitals, he is unable to get it from any public hospitals. Muhammad Qasim is a student and due to his limited resources, he cannot arrange his treatment at any private hospital. He told us:

“The main thing I remember about the accident now is the aftermath: the crutches and the absent leg. I am young now. I cannot imagine a life without walking. But due to this difficulty, I am unable to complete my studies. Whoever is reading this, I request you to please help me get back on my feet again.”

After a lot of distress, Muhammad Qasim has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We have assured him that we would arrange his artificial leg as soon as we can. But, it won’t be possible without your help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Qasim’s artificial leg as much as you can. Click the green button and donate now.

Muhammad Qasim's Story

Muhammad Qasim, a 23-year-old resident of Chakwal, injured his left leg in a traffic accident in 2010. He was taken to the emergency department for management and treated there. Later on, he developed an infection and the doctor could not save his leg. His left above-knee amputation was done. Qasim needed an artificial leg to walk again but he could afford to pay for it as he had no source of income. So, he contacted Transparent Hands and Hope Rehabilitation Centre to get an artificial leg. Under the supervision of Dr.Khalid, his left above-knee prosthesis was fixed on 17-06-2022. He is very happy to get an artificial leg and walk again.
