Rab Nawaz 's Story

Rab Nawaz is a young boy with a shine in his eyes. He used to be very active and enjoyed playing cricket. Unfortunately, his life was turned upside down when he fractured his leg last year. He was treated for his fractured leg. Since then, Rab Nawaz’s life has been a constant struggle. He lives in constant pain and discomfort, and his mobility has been severely limited. He was diagnosed with a non-union bone infection, a severe condition requiring urgent medical attention. The infection has caused the bone to fail to heal properly. The situation is dire, and his future hangs in the balance without the required surgeries. We implore you to donate to Rab Nawaz’s sequestrectomy and Ilizarov application and give him the chance to live a normal life.

Rab awaz, a 12-year-old resident of Sanghar, Sindh, had a leg fracture one year ago. Despite receiving medical attention, his fracture did not heal properly, and he was later diagnosed with a nonunion bone infection. The doctor advised him to undergo two surgeries, which are the Ilizarov and sequestrectomy surgeries. The Ilizarov technique involves the use of a specialized external fixator device to treat complex fractures and bone infections. Sequestrectomy is a surgical procedure in which a portion of necrotic or dead bone (known as a sequestrum) is removed from the affected bone. The Ilizarov technique and sequestrectomy of long bones could help Rab Nawaz heal and regain his mobility.

He lives with his parents in a small house. His father, the sole earner of the family, earns only PKR 20,000 per month, which is not enough to cover the expensive surgeries required to treat Rab Nawaz’s condition. The young boy said in despair:

“My greatest wish is to be able to run and play with my friends, but I can’t do that without your help. Please donate and give me the chance to regain my mobility through this surgery.”

Rab Nawaz’s family contacted Transparent Hands to register his case in the hope that he will receive the best treatment possible. We are determined to help his family cover the cost of the surgeries so he can recover and live a normal life. Together, we can make a difference and transform this little boy’s future. Please donate for Rab Nawaz’s sequestrectomy and help us give him the gift of mobility.

Rab Nawaz 's Story

Rab Nawaz, a 12-year-old resident of Sanghar, Sindh, had his leg fractured one year ago. Despite receiving medical attention, Nawaz's fracture did not heal properly, and he was later diagnosed with a nonunion bone infection.

The infection caused the bone to fail to heal properly.

The situation was dire, and his future hung in the balance without the required surgeries. His family could not afford the surgical expenses and contacted Transparent Hands for financial support. We were determined to help his family cover the cost of the surgeries so he could recover and live a normal life. He was admitted to Murshid Hospital, Karachi, where his operation was performed by Dr. Vickash Kumar on 11-05-2023. He was discharged from the hospital after five days.

The Ilizarov and sequestrectomy surgeries were not just surgeries; they were pivotal moments that held the power to shape his future. Without these surgeries, his dreams of regaining mobility and living a normal life might have remained unfulfilled. The critical nature of these procedures underscores the immense significance they hold in Rab Nawaz's life story. As he embarks on the path to recovery, his gratitude knows no bounds.

He is deeply thankful to the skilled medical team, the support of Transparent Hands, and the generous donations made by kind donors. With each step he takes, he carries the collective hope and effort that have propelled him toward a brighter and more promising future.
