Rabia Asim 's Story

Rabia is a dedicated young housemaid, but she has been suffering from severe abdominal pain for the past few months, making it difficult to perform her duties. She needs an open cholecystectomy to alleviate her symptoms, but she is struggling with finances. We urge you to support Rabia’s open cholecystectomy.

Rabia Asim, a 33-year-old resident of Lahore, has been suffering repeated episodes of abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, and vomiting for two years. She initially received symptomatic treatment, but her symptoms gradually worsened. Seeking further medical attention, she visited a general surgeon, who asked her to have some diagnostic tests and an ultrasound, which revealed the presence of gallstones. After a thorough evaluation, the doctor advised her to undergo an open cholecystectomy, a surgical procedure involving removing the gallbladder through a large incision in the abdomen. This procedure is commonly used to remove gallstones and is deemed necessary in order to relieve her symptoms.

She lives with her husband and seven family members in a small house. She works as a housemaid and earns PKR 25,000 per month. Her income is barely enough to make ends meet. Despite the urgency of the situation, Rabia’s financial situation is unstable, and the expense of the surgery is simply out of her reach. She said in despair:

“I’m in excruciating pain because of these gallstones, and there’s no end to this. I have been told that an open cholecystectomy would help my symptoms, but unfortunately, I do not have the money to pay for one. Please help me by donating generously.”

Rabia has turned to Transparent Hands for assistance, and we are working tirelessly to help her get the surgery she needs to recover. We appeal to donors to support Rabia’s open cholecystectomy to regain her health and lead a pain-free life. Every contribution counts, and even the smallest donation can have a significant impact on her life. Help us get her back to health by donating today and making a difference in her life.

Rabia Asim, a 33-year-old resident of Lahore, had been enduring recurring episodes of abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, and vomiting for a period of two years. Initially, she received symptomatic treatment to alleviate her discomfort, but her symptoms progressively worsened over time. Determined to find a solution, Rabia decided to seek further medical attention.
