Donate for Rehan’s Contracture Release
Rehan Ali's Story
Before you dive into the gory details of Rehan’s ailment, please know that you can help him. Your donation, however small it may be, will change Rehan’s life for good. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Rehan’s Contracture Release as much as you can.
When Rehan Ali was an infant, he accidentally burnt his right hand on the stove. Immediately, his panic-stricken parents took him to a local hospital where he was treated. However, later, he developed contractures on his affected hand.
Now, Rehan needs a contracture release procedure, a procedure that is performed by lengthening the tendon in question, thereby correcting the deformity. The doctor advised a full-thickness skin graft (FTSG) as well. While there is no doubt on the effectiveness of the aforementioned procedures, there is no denying that they are quite expensive as well.
Unfortunately, the cost of the contracture release surgery is beyond the affordability of Rehan’s parents. Rehan’s father is the sole earner of the family. He works at a private factory. Despite long hours and hectic shifts, he hardly manages to earn PKR 25000 per month. With a family of six to raise, he is in no position to arrange for his son’s contracture release surgery. He told us:
“The ground beneath our feet slipped away when we found out what happened to our beloved son. I did not have the heart to look at him. He was in so much pain, and it was visible from his face.”
After a lot of distress, Rehan Ali’s parents have registered his case with Transparent Hands. We wish to set Rehan’s life on the path of normalcy. But, it won’t be possible without your help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Rehan’s Contracture Release surgery as much as you can.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
