Forty-two years old Sadia Parvin has been suffering from cholelithiasis for the last eight years. Cholelithiasis refers to the formation of gallstones. These concretions get formed in the biliary tract in the gallbladder because of excessive cholesterol in the bile. Consequently, Sadia Parvin is a victim of all the painful symptoms that are associated with cholelithiasis. The last two years have been nightmarish for her. Recurrent pain in the hypochondriac region often makes her throw up. Moreover, cholelithiasis has weakened Sadia most horrifically.

But there is one hope that has kept Sadia sane through this tough period. The doctor has advised him to undergo a laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a surgery to remove a cholelithiasis patient’s gallbladder. While the surgery offers a permanent solution to Sadia Parvin’s problem, there is no denying the fact that it is quite an expensive medical procedure.

Sadia Parvin's Story

Sadia Parvin, aged 42 years, suffered from frequent episodes of heartburn and fatigue. She also felt pain in her right hypochondriac region. On medical consultation, she was diagnosed with gallstones (cholelithiasis). The surgeon advised surgical intervention for her condition. For this reason, Sadia was admitted to Abid Hospital and her laparoscopic cholecystectomy was performed by Dr. Abdul Saeed Sajjid on 27.05.2021. In this procedure, a minimally invasive technique was used to remove Sadia’s gallbladder. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. Sadia’s recovery was swift and she has resumed her daily household work since she feels better.
