Said Rehman's Story

Said Rehman, a 68 years old, hails from the Mardan district of the country and suffers from triple vessel coronary artery disease (TVCAD). In this condition, narrowing in three major arteries occur, which supply the heart itself. Said has already undergone the angiography one month ago, and now for the treatment of this condition, he has been recommended an open heart surgery. CABG stands for coronary artery bypass graft and is the recommended surgical procedure used for treating ischemic heart disease. The main aim of a CABG is to improve the overall blood flow by diverting blood around the clogged arteries. The better blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart efficiently ameliorate the overall condition.

Said’s five-membered family lives in an 8-Marla house that was granted by his parents. Jobless himself, Said Rehman is worried about the expenses pertaining to this surgery.

My son labours all day and brings home a monthly sum of 12 grand rupees. We barely manage provisions in this scant amount, even thinking about a coronary artery bypass graft is out of the question. In fact, if it was not for Transparent Hands, I would have not even considered the idea in the first place. But something about the way things have happened in the last few days gives me hope. Maybe, I shouldn’t give up just yet”

A tiny bit of hope can do wonders. That is the takeaway for all of you who have read Said Rehman’s story. But to keep that flame of hope burning in Said’s troubled heart, we all must join hands. Transparent Hands is going to raise funds for Said, but we need your help as well. Nothing can be done alone!  And so, we are going to ask you to donate for Said Rehman’s CABG now!

Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
