For the last two years, Sajid Mehmood had been suffering from pain in his forehead. At first, he treated it with painkillers. But, gradually, the pain became worse. After testing and further investigation, the doctor diagnosed Sajid with a Dermoid cyst in the forehead. Dermoid cysts on the forehead and eyebrow are known to cause pressure-related erosion of the underlying bony tissue. A dermoid cyst is an enclosed sac near the surface of the skin that forms during a baby’s development in the uterus. Therefore, the doctor has advised Sajid to undergo an excision surgery to remove the cyst. While this surgery promises a pain-free future to Sajid Mehmood. Unfortunately, he cannot afford its hefty cost. Sajid works at a barber’s shop and hardly manages to earn PKR 18000 per month. With a family of four to raise in this income, he is unable to afford the expense of his surgery. Therefore, his doctor referred him to Transparent Hands. Sajid told us:
