Muhammad Saleem's Story
Before you dive into Saleem’s tale of woes, please know that you can help him. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Saleem’s ENT Surgery. 23 years old Muhammad Saleem hails from Sangar and he is the sole breadwinner for his mother and 3 siblings. Saleem earns only 23000 PKR monthly but despite that, he manages to provide for his family. It’s been some time since Saleem has been experiencing excruciating pain in his eyes and head. Continuous pain made life difficult for Saleem and he consulted a doctor. The doctor advised some eye drops to ease out the pain, but it did not help his condition at all.
Upon consulting an eye specialist advised Saleem a CT scan and after seeing the scans his doctor advised him to visit an ENT specialist. ENT specialist told him that he has a medical condition called Sinonasal Polyposis, in which some growths are formed in his nasal cavity and the only treatment for his condition is Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) is a minimally invasive procedure which uses nasal endoscopes to enlarge the nasal drainage pathways of the paranasal sinuses to improve sinus ventilation and allow access of topical medications. Saleem who is already eking out his existence on a very low amount of income, cannot afford this expensive surgery. Although these previous visits and diagnostic tests were difficult for Saleem to afford but somehow, he contrived to manage them but at this point, he can do nothing. He says:
“I have never complained to anyone a single time in my whole life. I always thanked God almighty that he made it possible for me to support my family. But I am stuck at this point. This expensive surgery is a luxury which I cannot afford. I am afraid that this condition won’t only consume me but my family too.”
There are a lot of Saleems in our society around us, who are enduring the pain but still struggling and working hard to provide for their family. But the good thing is we know this Saleem, and we can help him. We can help him to get rid of this pain that is eating him and his family incessantly. By donating for the surgery of Saleem you won’t just be helping a single person, but you will also be resuscitating the hopes of the ones around him. So let’s donate for Saleem’s ENT Surgery.
