25-year-old Salma Jamal hails from the district Mardan of the country and is a proud mother of three children. Little does this introduction tell you about the pain through which Salma is going through these days. What these opening remarks don’t tell you about Salma is that she has a large ovarian cyst. Almost two months have elapsed since the diagnosis, two miserable months, might we add. At first, it seemed as if popping pills would take care of the problem. Unfortunately, things have become complicated since then, and now, surgical removal of the troublesome cyst is the only option Salma is left with. The prescribed surgical procedure is called ovarian cystectomy.
