Salman Haider 's Story

Salman is enduring a lot of pain, discomfort, and stress. He is the sole breadwinner in his family and a young man with many responsibilities. However, he is unable to afford the CT scan that would help with his diagnosis. He needs your financial support to regain his health. We request that you donate to Salman’s CT scan with IV contrast to ease his pain.

Salman Haider, a 28-year-old resident of Lahore, has been suffering from recurrent episodes of chest pain, shortness of breath, and a productive cough for the last two years. He went to the local hospital for a check-up. He was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis. Pulmonary tuberculosis is a contagious bacterial infection that primarily affects the lungs. Initially, the doctor prescribed medicines, but he did not find relief. He revisited the doctor for further evaluation, who advised him to get an X-ray of the chest, which showed a left-sided pleural effusion. It refers to the accumulation of fluid in the space between the left lung and the chest wall, known as the pleural cavity. Then, the doctor also asked him to undergo a CT scan with IV contrast. It involves injecting a special dye, called “contrast material,” into a vein in the arm to accurately visualize the organs on the CT scan images.

He lives in a small house with eight family members. He is the sole earner in the family. He works as a laborer and earns only PKR 24,000 per month. He is not financially stable enough to afford the CT scan. He said it in distress.

“I am humbly reaching out for any support that you could offer. These conditions have already caused so much hardship, and with your help, I hope to be able to get the diagnosis I need to live a healthy life.”

After a lot of distress, Salman registered his case with Transparent Hands. We are determined to help him, but we need your support. We want to help him with the diagnosis of his disease so he can get the right treatment. Join hands with us and donate for Salman’s CT scan with IV contrast without any delay.
