Muhammad Saqib, age three years, has a congenital condition known as penoscrotal hypospadias. It is the opening of his urethra that is not at its normal site resulting in difficult urination. His condition is bothersome. Therefore, in order to correct it, he requires three consecutive surgical procedures. Currently, Saqib is at the third stage of his treatment which is grafting of urethra from oral mucosa. 

Unfortunately, Saqib’s parents are unable to afford his treatment. Saqib’s father, Hamid Gul, teaches at a mosque, earning around 5000 PKR a month. Since he has a large family to support, his expenditures far outweigh his salary. He tried to get his son treated for free at local hospitals first, but the waiting time was too long. Therefore, he finally approached Transparent Hands to ask for help with Saqib’s first and second surgery. Now, for his third surgery, Saqib’s father has asked for Transparent Hands’ help again.

My son is in so much discomfort, and as he grows up, it will only get harder for him to deal with this. This is why we are requesting people to help him again as soon as possible.” – Saqib’s father.
