Sara, a 22-year-old resident of Karachi, is the mother of two children. She is expecting her third baby. She has already delivered two babies via C-section. In the seventh month of pregnancy, she went to the local hospital for a checkup. Considering her previous medical records and current situation, the gynecologist has advised her to undergo another Lower Segment Cesarean section to deliver her baby – a surgical incision (cut) is made in the lower segment of the uterus to deliver a baby. Sara and her baby would remain at risk without the C-Section.
She lives in a rented house with her husband and two children. Her husband earns only PKR 30,000 per month. He barely manages the household expenses with this meager income. He cannot afford the surgical expenses. The financial burden is also affecting Sara’s health as she needs to take care of her diet and take medicine. She said in a depressed tone:
“Although stress and anxiety are not good for my baby’s health, I feel helpless due to my inability to arrange money for the C-section. Please respond to my appeal. Support this helpless mother by making a generous donation.”

Considering her previous medical records and current situation, the gynecologist advised her to undergo another lower-segment cesarean section to deliver her baby to avoid complications and risks. She could not afford to pay for the C-section. She contacted Transparent Hands to seek support for the operation. She was admitted to United Hospital, Karachi, where her operation was performed by Dr. Shabnam on 2-12-2022. She delivered a healthy baby girl and was discharged from the hospital after staying in the hospital for three days.
Both the mother and the child are healthy. With a heart full of gratitude, Sara expresses her deepest thanks to Transparent Hands and all the kind donors who supported her during her time of need.
