Shamim Bibi 's Story

Shamim Bibi has been fighting breast cancer for a long time. She has already undergone two surgeries and multiple diagnostic tests and procedures, but her battle against cancer isn’t over yet. She needs to undergo Chemotherapy for her cancer treatment, but her family cannot afford it due to financial constraints. We implore you to donate for Shamim Bibi’s chemotherapy and give her a second chance at life.

Shamim Bibi, a 46-year-old resident of Jhang, had a lump in her right breast three years ago. She went to the doctor for a consultation. After a thorough evaluation and diagnostic tests, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The doctor advised Modified Radical Mastectomy (MRM) which involves removing the entire breast, including the breast tissue, skin, areola, and nipple. Her first surgery was performed in January 2021. However, cancer spread and involved her ovaries. In August  2022, she underwent a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy (TAH) and Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy (BSO). The doctor also prescribed some medicines after this surgery, but a lump appeared again on her chest wall. This lump was surgically removed again, this time through Transparent Hands. Her final reports were reviewed by an oncologist, who advised her to undergo Adjuvant Chemotherapy. It is a treatment given after breast surgery for cancers. It kills any cancer cells left at the surgery site or the rest of the body.

She lives in a small house with her husband and six children. Her husband is the family’s sole earner and earns just PKR 15,000 per month. He is not financially stable enough to support his wife’s chemotherapy. Shamim said in a depressed tone:

“I feel like everything is out of control. My life is at risk. Please support my Chemotherapy and help me live for my family.”

After exhausting all other options, she reached out to Transparent Hands for help, and we registered her case. She has placed her hopes in your hands. You can add many years to her life and make it possible for her to take care of her children. We request that you donate as much as possible for Shamim Bibi’s Chemotherapy. Donate today without any delay.
