Shazia Rashid's Story

Before we explain the gory details of Shazia Rashid’s ailments, we want you to know that no medical jargon can explain the immense pain of Shazia Rashid. So please donate for Shazia’s subtotal thyroidectomy and help us ease her life.

Forty-one years old Shazia hails from Karachi.

She has been suffering from multinodular goiter for the last three years. Multinodular goiter is a goiter where there are many lumps (nodules) that appear within the gland. This is probably the most common thyroid gland disorder. At first, the lump on Shazia’s neck was hardly visible. But, slowly it has increased in size.

Therefore, to save her from the threat of multiple complications, the doctor has advised her to get a Subtotal Thyroidectomy. Subtotal Thyroidectomy is a surgical procedure in which the majority of the thyroid gland is removed. However, the surgeon leaves some parts of the thyroid tissue to achieve a normal thyroid function. After her doctor’s advice, Shazia Rashid circled back and forth to various local hospitals in search of free treatment but all their efforts have gone in vain. Unfortunately, Shazia cannot afford to arrange the surgery herself. She works as a house help and makes around 10000 per month. With this income, she can only afford the bills and household expenses. She told us:

“I am so worried, seeing the lump on my neck grow every day. I am afraid of what it will do to me. At this moment, Transparent Hands is my only resort for help.”

Finally, as a last resort, they have registered their case with Transparent Hands. We hope that we will be able to arrange free surgery for her. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Shazia’s subtotal thyroidectomy and ease her life.  Donate now and donate as much as possible.
