Donate for Shoukat Ali’s Below-Knee Prosthesis
Shoukat Ali 's Story
Shoukat Ali is a 57-year-old father who lives with one of his sons, who is married but earns only 15000 rupees per month, to feed a family of 6 people. With 3000 rupees of this income being given away to pay rent, the family is only left 12000 rupees to manage all other problems. Sadly, this is not enough to provide for the family members, let alone expensive medical treatments.
Hit with a bullet about 6-7 years ago, Shoukat’s leg has been operated on four times now, but unfortunately, it became severely infected, and finally, the doctors suggested a final solution to his problem. They decided to cut his leg off. Shoukat was facilitated with an artificial leg three to four months after his amputation. However, now that leg has worn off and he is in a desperate need of below-knee prosthesis for his leg . If he is facilitated with this artificial leg, he will be able to move around and restore his life to a somewhat normal state.
“I can’t do any simple tasks without a prosthetic leg”, says Shoukat,” Losing my leg was painful, but to live with this constant feeling of helplessness feels worse. It is not just about embracing a good life quality, it is about being able to do the bare minimum activities. I feel positive about getting treated here at Transparent Hands, hopefully, something will turn up”-Shoukat Ali
The good thing about Shoukat’s case is that he is in good hands. We can definitely ease this task for him, but we are also going to need your help. So donate for a good cause that will help a man who is very rightly deserving of your kindness!
