Siraj Din's Story
Siraj-ud-din cannot urinate directly because of the presence of enlarged prostate. This prostate has blocked the flow the urine through the urethra. Prostate usually enlarges in males that are above 50, like in Siraj-ud-din’s case. Siraj-ud-din has plastic tubes inserted in his bladder all the time, to help the urine come out. These plastic tubes and bags are changed after every few days. He needs a TURP surgery to unblock the flow of urine through the prostate.
Siraj-ud-din used to be a laborer, back when he was younger and healthier. He cannot much work now because of his elderly age. Siraj-ud-din has two sons and four daughters, all married and living separately, except for one daughter who is blind. She is currently the sole earner of the family and makes her earnings by reciting naats at millads. Siraj-ud-din has visited Mayo Hospital for surgery a number of times, but it was hopeless due to the unavailability of beds. He cannot afford the TURP surgery through his own and his daughter’s savings combined, which is why he needs your donations. Donate as much as you can for Siraj-ud-din’s surgery.
