Tariq’s disability has not only affected his body, but it has also wounded his heart. He feels worthless and guilty for being a burden to his loved ones. He used to be an integral part of his family’s life, but now he just feels abandoned and helpless. He has been unable to help out financially, and it is putting a strain on him. Tariq’s spirit has not been affected, though. He is holding out hope that kind donors like you will help him get the artificial legs he desperately needs. Your donation can give Tariq the chance to regain his independence, restore his sense of dignity, and find joy in life once again. We urge you to donate for Tariq’s bilateral knee prosthesis so he can stand tall and reclaim his independence.
Tariq, a 48-year-old resident of Faisalabad, lost his right leg due to the development of gangrene due to uncontrolled diabetes in 2016. Later on, because of the same reason the doctor also had to amputate his right leg in 2020. The doctor advised a bilateral below-knee prosthesis.
He lives with twelve family members. Due to his disability, he is reliant on the financial assistance his daughter provides. He is not financially stable enough to afford the cost of both artificial legs. He said it in a depressed tone:
“My despair has been deepened by my inability to provide for my family. I feel like there is no way out of the despair I am in. I beg you to be my ray of sunshine and help me get the artificial legs I need to regain my freedom.”
After approaching Transparent Hands, Tariq completed the necessary paperwork to register his case. We have made a commitment to provide him with both artificial legs. However, without your invaluable support, arranging the necessary funds would not be possible We request that you come forward and donate for Tariq’s bilateral knee prosthesis.
