Tariq, a 48-year-old resident of Faisalabad, lost his right leg due to the development of gangrene due to uncontrolled diabetes in 2016. Later on, because of the same reason the doctor also had to amputate his right leg in 2020. The doctor advised a bilateral below-knee prosthesis.

He lives with twelve family members. Due to his disability, he is reliant on the financial assistance his daughter provides. He is not financially stable enough to afford the cost of both artificial legs. He said it in a depressed tone:

“My despair has been deepened by my inability to provide for my family. I feel like there is no way out of the despair I am in. I beg you to be my ray of sunshine and help me get the artificial legs I need to regain my freedom.”
