Five years old Muhammad Usman is stuck in between the threshold of life and death. Any second can be a defining moment for him. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Usman’s open-heart surgery. You can give him the most precious gift of life.

Ever since Usman is born, he has been falling prey to recurrent chest infections. Moreover, he has been showing symptoms of cyanosis as well. Cyanosis is a discoloration of fingers and lips. It usually occurs due to the lack of oxygenated blood in the body. The doctors examined Usman and immediately referred him to a cardiologist.

Consequently, the cardiologist ran ECHO test and diagnosed Usman with a Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). TOF is a cardiac anomaly that refers to a combination of four related heart defects that commonly occur together.

The cardiologist advised Usman to undergo a TOF repair surgery as soon as possible. Usman’s parents visited many hospitals for his treatment. But unfortunately, the local hospitals kept rescheduling the date. Now, two years have passed in this process. Due to Usman’s worsening situation, the surgery has become crucial for him. Without surgery, his life would stay compromised. Therefore, we urge you to donate and help us keep Usman’s heart beating.

Usman’s grief stricken mother said to us:

“It has been only five years since my son was diagnosed with this life-threatening heart disease. But I feel as if me and my husband have aged a million years. Every moment is hell and every breath is an ordeal. Usman’s small heart needs all your help to keep beating.”

Muhammad Usman, a brave five-year-old boy, was suffering from cyanosis since birth. He was taken to several local hospitals where he was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) - a congenital heart disease. Usman has advised TOF Repair surgery. For this purpose, Usman was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital. His open heart surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Asim Khan on 24-11-21. He was kept in ICU for strict observation until the doctors were satisfied that his condition was progressing well. He was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Usman’s health has evidently improved and he looks forward to a healthy future. His parents can’t wait to see him go to school soon.
