For the last three years, twenty-one years old Zafar Ali has been suffering from Deviated Nasal Septum. DNS is a deviation of the nasal septum from the normal center of the nasal cavity. This causes nose obstruction and blockage of the respiratory tract.

To treat this condition, the doctor has advised Zafar to undergo a Submucosal resection. Submucosal resection (SMR) of the nose is a surgical procedure used to treat a deviated septum. This procedure is also called a septoplasty. A septoplasty is a surgical procedure to straighten the bone and cartilage dividing the space between two nostrils (septum).

While a Septoplasty promises a comfortable and free future for Zafar, unfortunately, he cannot afford the hefty cost of the surgery. Zafar Ali is a student. In terms of finances, he relies on his family whose income is 15000 per month. They are a family of nine and their income barely covers their household expenses. Zafar told us:

“I do not want to be a burden on my parents anymore. I am trying very hard to be independent, to work on my own but some things are just out of one’s hands. Whoever is reading this, I request you to please help me.”

After a lot of physical and mental anguish, Zafar Ali has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We have assured him that we would arrange his surgery as soon as possible. Zafar Ali's Story

Zafar, a 21-year-old resident of Kandyaro, had been enduring constant severe headaches and difficulty in breathing for the last three years. But the pain became unbearable recently. Upon consultation, the doctor diagnosed him with Deviated Nasal Septum and advised him to undergo Laser Submucosal Resection. But since Zafar is a student and his family’s financial conditions are not good, they could not afford the procedure. He found out about Transparent Hands and contacted us. We registered his case and sent him to ISRA University Hospital to get his procedure done by Dr. Amrat Kumar on 08-01-2022. Zafar’s procedure was done successfully. He stayed in the hospital for three days and was discharged in satisfactory condition. Zafar is now recovering well.
