Muhammad Zuhaib's Story

Muhammad Zuhaib was a very feeble baby. At a glance, he looked like a baby sparrow. At first, his mother ignored it. But Zuhaib failed to gain any weight for months. Therefore, his parents took him to a cardiologist. Then, the cardiologist ran an ECHO test. Zuhaib was diagnosed with a Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). TOF is a cardiac anomaly that refers to a combination of four related heart defects that commonly occur together. The cardiologist advised Muhammad Zuhaib to undergo a TOF repair surgery as soon as possible. TOF repair surgery is an open-heart surgery in which the defects are corrected. We urge you to please donate for Zuhaib’s open-heart surgery.

Naturally, Zuhaib’s father has visited many hospitals for his treatment. But unfortunately, the local hospitals kept rescheduling the date. Now, two years have passed in this process. Due to Zuhaib’s worsening situation, the surgery has become crucial. Without surgery, his life would stay compromised. Therefore, we urge you to donate for Zuhaib’s open-heart surgery.

Muhammad Zuhaib’s father works as a cleric in the local mosque. His monthly income is PKR 7000. So it is difficult for him to keep the household running. Therefore, he cannot afford the cost of his son’s life-saving surgery.

“Everyone loves Muhammad Zuhaib like their own son. He is the apple of our eyes. The news of his life-threatening condition swept the ground beneath our feet. We do not have the means to save our child. I request you to please donate for Zuhaib’s open-heart surgery. Save my son’s life.” -Muhammad Zuhaib’s father.

Now, after a lot of mental distress, Zuhaib’s family has registered their case with Transparent Hands. We have assured them that we will try our best to arrange his surgery. Now, we need your earnest help for that. Please donate for Zuhaib’s open-heart surgery and help us save his life.

Muhammad Zuhaib's Story

Muhammad Zuhaib, aged 3 years, a resident of Narrowal was suffering from cyanosis and dyspnea on mild exertion since birth. Upon cardiac assessment, he was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). He was advised by his cardiologist to undergo open heart surgery for total correction. For this purpose, he was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital Lahore, where Dr. Salman Ahmad Shah performed open heart surgery for total correction of TOF on 13.02.2021. After nine days of hospital stay Muhammad Zuhaib was discharged in a satisfactory condition. The surgery was conducted with the support of Pakistan Children Heart foundation and other donors. A child who has had surgical repair of TOF, requires lifelong care and examinations by a cardiologist along with medication and an optimized lifestyle. Luckily now Muhammad Zuhaib is beyond the initial stage of treatment and is optimistic for a healthy life.
