A young boy who was born with Undescended Testis is fighting to survive

Hamza Razzaq is a 10 years old boy who lives in a small town of Kashmir with his parents and grandparents. Hamza has only one sister who is completely paralyzed due to stunted growth. Hamza is also suffering from this disease since birth.

Hamza was diagnosed with undescended testis when he was only a few days old. His parents ignored his disease at first due to lack of education until a few years ago when he complained about severe abdominal pain. During this time, Hamza met with an accident due to which his leg was fractured.  He had to undergo urgent surgery in a local hospital in Abbottabad for which Hamza’s father had to take loans to bear the surgical expenses. Hamza’s father works as a peon in a school and earns only 10,000 rupees a month.

Hamza’s leg is now recovered but his testis is causing him a lot of pain and discomfort. Doctor has suggested that Hamza needs to undergo Bilateral Orchidopexy otherwise his disease can cause tumor. Hamza is now scheduled for his Bilateral Orchidopexy through Transparent Hands at Akram Medical Complex in a few days. His father has already taken a large amount of loan for his first surgery. He is struggling hard day and night to pay off the loan. In such tough situation, it’s impossible for this family to manage the cost of his second surgery.
